DIY Photography

DIY photography is a website for sharing cool, and interesting ideas, stories, and concepts of photography. I thought that the tutorial part of the website was really interesting because most photography sites share "cool, and rad pics" without any tutorials. The tutorials can help a beginner start out taking pictures and experts learn new ways to take pictures. There are wide varying articles from building cool light bulbs to an article about a tiny artificial world made of plastic. They write about stories that a average visitor would find interesting. In a daily basis a average visitor would be able to find out ideas of photography that they could potentially try out themselves. I would definitely add this website when I get myself my own camera, and I would definitely recommend this to a fellow photographer, because it could possibly change the way people take pictures. I would rate this website  a 5 out of 5 because it helps photographers take better more interesting pictures.

There is a article in this website about visual effects and how they can put into use in a way that would surprise us. Roy Peker a compositor and the creator of the video which is the subject of the article shows us what visual effects and a creative mind can acheive. In the video, Roy and his team alters the real world that fooled everyone. He includes motion tracking, green screens, and other video editing effects to create all sorts of stuff from a colorful paint job on a van to creating a extra citizen on a bike. He created this video to prove the people saying "I hate visual effects, they look fake" wrong. From this article I learned that visual effects aren't always noticeable and can be used for many different creative projects.
